Insight Early Learners is an early intervention program designed to provide individualized support and services to young children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays/disorders. Early intervention is critical to help young children meet developmental milestones and reach their full potential.

Our Program

In our program, we help our learners build the foundational skills needed to continue to grow and learn as they transition to school. Our focus is on transitioning to new environments and developing the skills needed for learners to thrive in those environments. This may involve working on skills such as communication, social interaction, play behaviors, social engagement, self-regulation, school readiness, or daily living skills.

Our Team

Our early intervention clinical team includes BCBAs and RBTs who work collaboratively with families to develop comprehensive learning goals for each learner and their family. Programs are culturally responsive, values-oriented, and individualized for each learner.

We recommend parents or caregivers meet with our team to discuss their learner’s needs, goals in therapy, and our process so they can make an informed decision about whether early intervention services are right for them and their learner.

Services

Our services include center-based intensive ABA therapy for children ages 6 and under with autism or other developmental delays/disorders.

Our BCBA will complete a full assessment to identify the areas of need. This assessment will involve parent interviews, standardized assessments, observation, and interactive play. From there, an individualized intervention plan will be developed based on the learner’s unique needs. This assessment will determine the medical necessity of Applied Behavior Analysis therapy. Need must be established in order to proceed with therapy.

Once the need is established, each learner will be placed with an RBT in a 1:1 setting to develop their individual skills. Intervention ranges from a play-based model to an increasingly structured environment to target transition skills. Other possible intervention-related therapies may include speech, occupational, and physical therapy. There may be some opportunities to interact with other learners in our early intervention program to work on cooperation and social communication goals.

Your child must have an official diagnosis before enrolling in our program.

Benefits

Research has shown that the early diagnosis and intervention of autism, occurring around or near preschool age, is more likely to have major long-term positive effects on symptoms and the development of later skills. Many children who receive early intervention services may experience:

  • Improved cognitive, language, and social-emotional development

  • Greater independence and self-sufficiency

  • Strengthened family relationships and support systems¹
